Description

Abe Curry's Sandstone Eagle is one of Carson City's historic artifacts. It was originally commissioned by Abe Curry for the roof of his Warm Springs Hotel in the 1860s. Then it was perched atop the gate at the State Prison, and atop the Eagles Lodge building on Carson Street at Robinson. For the last 30 years it has been located at the current Eagle's Lodge on East Fifth Street.
